ScanJet 5100C/­Cse/­Cxi/­5200C/­Cse/­Cxi Update (sj269 must also be installed) driver for HP Scanjet 5100cxi Scanner (PC) Type: Software - Patch Windows 2000 Pro Updatefor HP ScanJet Scanners 5100c Series &­ 5200c Series You will need to install this patch prior to upgrading from Windows NT 4 to Windows 2000 Professional.­ After the upgrade,­ one additional patch must be installed.­ Note: An attempt to upgrade to Windows 2000 Professional before installing this file will cause the upgrade to fail.­ This file will remove the problem drivers and allow the upgrade to succeed.­ AFTER YOU HAVE INSTALLED THIS UPDATE (sj268),­ UPGRADE YOUR OPERATING SYSTEM TO WINDOWS 2000 PROFESSIONAL,­ THEN INSTALL sj269.­ For complete instructions on upgrading your operating system to Windows 2000 Professional for use with 5100C Series and 5200C Series Scanners Click Here.­ Installation Instructions: Choose the file you want to download to your system.­ With your mouse,­ click on the file.­ You will now be prompted to select the folder (subdirectory) where the download will be placed on your hard disk.­ (Example: If you wanted to download to your C:TEMP you would select that folder from the list of folders in the download "Save As" screen.­) Now open the C:Temp folder (if that was your selected folder),­ and double-click on the file you downloaded.­ This file will decompress into a default folder c:sj268w2k,­ or any folder of your choice.­ You will find the SETUP.­EXE file in the c:sj268w2k folder,­ or the folder that you chose.­ Double-click the SETUP.­EXE file to activate the software installation.­
