Firmware for HP Deskjet 995c Type: Firmware These instructions apply only to the deskjet 995c.­ They do not apply to the deskjet 995CK.­ The deskjet 995CK is available in N.­A.­ and ships with the firmware already updated.­ Note: This firmware update gives your printer the ability to communicate with a PC by the HCRP profile,­ and with handheld devices such a phone or pda.­ For compatibility information,­ please see hp's support website at http:/­/­www.­hp.­com/­support/­bluetooth.­ Before you update the firmware you will need: USB cable.­ USB driver installed Windows 98 or higher Installation Instructions Step 1: If you have not already done so,­ install the USB driver from the CD that came with your printer.­ Be sure to leave the USB cable attached .­ Step 2: Download the latest HP Deskjet 995c firmware Download the HP Deskjet 995c firmware update and save it to your computer.­ After saving the file,­ record the filename and location .­ Step 3: Update the HP Deskjet 995c firmware To update (or reflash) your firmware,­ do the following: Locate the HP Deskjet 995c firmware update on your computer (saved in step 6 above).­ Double-click the HP Deskjet 995c firmware update file.­ Run the firmware update from your hard drive only.­ The HP Deskjet 995c firmware update program will not run from a CD-ROM.­ Follow the on-screen instructions to update the firmware on your printer.­ Caution : The firmware update will take several minutes.­ Do NOT interrupt or cancel out of the firmware update
